May 22 Members of Parliament Show Support for Brain Research in Canada

Providing a better understanding of current initiatives in brain research -- and the potential they hold for Canadians -- was the goal of a successful Health Research Caucus event hosted May 14th by Research Canada: An Alliance for Health Discovery.

More than 15 eminent scientists presented their research in a kiosk-style event that attracted over 100 Members of Parliament and invited guests. This event fostered valuable one-on-one discussions around three broad areas of brain research: The Aging Brain and Dementia; Traumatic Brain Injury; and Child Brain Development.

Research Canada's Health Research Caucus brings leading scientists to Parliament Hill in an effort to educate Parliamentarians on the benefits of health research to Canadians.

We are pleased to share with you our photos from the May 14th event. Please see our Facebook page to view our photo gallery. We extend our thanks to our valued  event partners and supporters and the dedicated researchers who presented their findings, as well as the volunteers who contributed to this special occasion.
